The curry is a mixture of ground spices, very aromatic, used to temper meats, legumes, grains and molhos. Originally from India, but popular all over the world, the ingredients can vary quite a bit, but generally include:
Turmeric (açafrão-da-terra) – gives vibrant yellow color
Cominho
Coentro em pó
Pimenta-do-reino or pimenta vermelha
Ginger, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon or cravo (depending on the recipe)
