Grape flour is obtained from grape pomace — composed of skins, seeds and parts of the pulp — that is left over after the juice extraction process or wine production. This material is dehydrated and ground until it turns into a dark powder, with a purple or brownish hue and a slightly astringent flavor. Rich in bioactive compounds, this flour is considered a functional food with high antioxidant potential.
